About Bright Spirit Qigong

Qigong means “energy work” or “life force energy skill”. It is an ancient wellness practice based in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It consists of slow gentle movements, holding postures, breathwork, and visualizations for activating and unifying the mind, body, and spirit into one balanced energetic moving body full of vital life force Qi.

Similar to the practice of yoga, Qigong is a mindful wellness modality based in traditional methods. 

Bright Spirit Qigong classes follow the YOQI® Method of the Six Phases of Qi Flow (attune, purge, tonify, grow, circulate and integrate) within the framework of the Five Elements Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This balancing and harmonizing practice aligns your Qi energy with the unlimited energy of the seasons, the Earth, and the Cosmos.

There are no memorization of movements and no equipment required. 

Qigong is practiced in a standing posture but can be easily modified to sitting in a chair. In Bright Spirit Qigong classes, Kimberly will demonstrate the sitting posture before standing practice begins. 

Bright Spirit Qigong Class Descriptions:

FREE Intro to Qigong Flow – Monthly class opportunity for those who are new to Qigong and want a taste of what Qigong Flow classes are like! Class begins with an introduction about Qigong and the YOQI® Method of the Six Phases of Qi Flow and then we will move through a 30 minute guided practice with simple and easy to follow Qigong Flows. Online.

Qigong Flow for Beginners – The first 1/2 of class is practiced standing and the second 1/2 is taught while sitting in a chair. Can also be modified to be sitting the whole class as well. In-Person. 

Weekly Qigong Flow with Kimberly – This class series is designed to maintain and cultivate your Qi on a weekly basis in alignment with the seasons for optimal alignment and balance of your life force. Online.

Chair Qigong Flow with Kimberly – Modified 100% seated version of the Weekly Qigong Flow with Kimberly Class. Great for beginners and those with limited mobility. Online.

Qigong Meditation Circle – 30 minute class beginning with a Qigong Flow warm up to prepare the body for seated or standing meditation practice. Followed by a guided Neigong, “inner qi work”, healing meditation utilizing visualization, breathwork and inner awareness. Online.

Qigong Flow for Energy Workers, Empaths & Highly Sensitive People – In this monthly specially designed class you will be guided through a series of targeted gentle practices emphasizing releasing unwanted energies, grounding your qi, reconnecting to your energetic center alignment, establishing the central channel meridian, and strengthening your energetic boundary (aura). Offered online and in-person. 

6 Week Qigong Flow for Beginners – This course is a wonderful opportunity for those who are totally new to Qigong or for those who have taken a few classes and want to build a more consistent foundation to improve their practice and long term wellbeing. Expand and deepen your practice in the comfort of your home! Series runs in the Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. Online.
